Anything But A Chain helps you discover independent, locally-owned restaurants by filtering out chains from map results. It is a free informational and discovery tool. It does not take reservations, process payments, or sell anything.

Restaurant listings, locations, hours, photos, distances, and ratings come from third parties (including Apple Maps, the restaurants' own websites, and Yelp) and from automated filtering. We do our best, but we can't guarantee the information is accurate, complete, current, or that a given place is or isn't a chain. Always verify details (like whether a place is open) before relying on them. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind.

The “Help Me Decide” feature uses AI to suggest places based on what you type. Its suggestions are for convenience only, may be imperfect, and are not professional or personalized advice. Use your own judgment.

Anything But A Chain is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any restaurant, Apple, Yelp, or other third party shown in the Service. Restaurant names and marks belong to their respective owners.

Use the Service only for its intended, personal, non-commercial purpose. Don't scrape, overload, reverse-engineer, or misuse it, and don't use it to violate any law or third party's rights.

The Service relies on and links to third-party services and websites, which have their own terms and privacy practices. Your use of those is between you and them.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Anything But A Chain and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service or from any inaccuracy in the information it shows.

We may update these terms or the Service at any time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms. Material changes are reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
